Young Thug has been in custody since he was arrested and indicted on charges that accused him of leading the “Young Slime Life” gang. Thug's legal team has requested bond for him for the fourth time. His attorney Brian Steel said that Thugger is "languishing in the County Jail," according to a recently-filed motion. In the motion filed on April 24 and obtained by 11Alive, Steel says Thugger cannot stay healthy and noted that his client has limited healthy food options.

Steel went on to claim that the rapper is constantly “sleep-deprived” due to only getting five hours of sleep every night, and when he has court appearances, he has to wake up by 3 or 4 A.M., the outlet reports.

Thug is facing a gang activity charge from 2018 along with a 2013 charge of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO Act). The rapper has maintained his innocence throughout the trial, plagued by several issues since the start. That includes the arrest of a lawyer, Anastassios Manettas, who represents another defendant in the case.

Thugger, legal name Jeffery Williams, has remained in custody since he was arrested and indicted on charges accusing him of leading the “Young Slime Life” gang. The alleged gang reportedly claims affiliation with the Bloods.

In the motion, Steel claimed the rapper relies on food with "zero health benefits," like chocolate and chips. He added that the conditions have left Thugger unable to pay attention and stay on top of his case. "By the end of the week, Mr. Williams is fighting to pay attention to the goings-on in his case," Steel said in the motion. He also said the rapper has had little access to fresh air and sunlight since May 2022.

His attorney ultimately requested that the court consider granting Williams bond and that “conditions can be imposed which permit bond to be set,” according to 11Alive. Steel noted that Thugger's only access to fresh air and sunlight is when he is transported to and from the courthouse.

Young Thug's legal battles have been in the news for quite some time now, and his recent plea for bond has caught the media's attention. The rapper is currently facing serious allegations, and his legal team is trying their best to get him out on bond.

Thug has had a tumultuous few years with multiple legal battles, and it seems like his current trial will continue for a while. Meanwhile, his legal team is trying their best to improve his living conditions while he remains in custody.

It's unclear if the court will grant Thugger bond, but his legal team has cited several reasons for his release. They have argued that his current living conditions are not suitable for him to maintain good health and focus on his case.

As the trial proceeds, we can only hope that Thug's legal team is successful in their efforts to improve his living conditions and grant him bond. Until then, the rapper will have to remain in custody as he fights to clear his name in court.
