Renowned rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West has unleashed a torrent of explosive revelations concerning his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her clan of business-savvy siblings. Despite his divisive reputation, the Grammy-winning artist's claims about the Kardashians' dubious financial tactics hold some validity. According to West, the Kardashians have profited immensely from exploiting black culture, stealing designs from small businesses, and manipulating their connections for personal gain.

West accuses Kim and her sisters of shamelessly appropriating black hairstyles and attire without crediting the community that inspired their brand. Specifically, Khloe Kardashian's Good American brand launched in 2016 claimed to cater to curvy women, particularly women of color, yet failed to adjust its prices to account for the low household wealth of black women. Moreover, other black designers accused Khloe of stealing their designs for Good American, prompting criticism from fans and independent creatives alike.

Similarly, Kylie Jenner was accused of plagiarism by an independent black clothing company, Plugged NYC, which claimed that the reality star had ordered and worn their camouflage designs in the past without giving proper credit. When asked for his views on the matter, West insinuated that Kylie's signature plump lips were inspired by the phenotype of women of color, a claim Jenner has vehemently denied.

West's bold allegations have incited heated discussions about the Kardashians' legacy of appropriating black culture without giving due credit, prompting fans to voice their displeasure on social media. While the Kardashians' enormous wealth and connections have allowed them to attain unprecedented success, the question remains whether their tactics are ethical or simply "tacky, disrespectful, and in bad taste," as one designer accused them of.
