Sia is a singer and songwriter from Australia who started her music career in an acid jazz band in Adelaide. She is a known animal right activist and she is a musician considered mysterious because of her private life.

Sia would go on to be a world famous artist but before that, before Sia stunned the world with her songs Chandelier, Diamonds, and Alive, before she lit up the 57th Grammy Awards with an electrifying performance and received four nominations, before Sia made everyone else star in her music videos and performances, including a young Shia LaBeouf, dancer Kristen Wiig, and even actor Jim Carrey....

...Before Sia would motivate Shia LaBeouf to cover his own face with a paper bag of his own, before Sia would go to great lengths to keep her identity hidden from the public, she was just a young Australian girl who loved singing with little to no thoughts about becoming famous.

As the daughter of two musicians and artists, this Australian singing and songwriting sensation was born into the arts. So she obviously has musical talent in her blood.

Early on, the girl achieved fame and even made an appearance in "home and away," a well-liked soap opera in Australia. She later relocated to England, where she joined the group 0-7 and later worked both solo and in concert with them for many years.

The demands of fame became too much for her as her own career took off. She started out by consuming a lot of alcohol while also abusing a lot of drugs. She was struggling with depression, and things only got worse when her boyfriend tragically passed away.

She had written her own suicide letter in 2010, but thankfully she changed her mind and decided fame was to blame for all of her problems. She decided to withdraw from it and focus on writing for other artists instead.

She wrote hit songs for artists like Rihanna, Beyonce, and Britney Spears before becoming famous for her own composition "chandelier." There would be many more after that one came out of the gate.

Without further ado, let's explore the early life and career of world famous artist Sia.

Kate Isobelle Sia Furler was born on December 18, 1975, in Adelaide, Australia. Her parents, Phil Coulson and Lauren Furler, were members of the rock ability group, The Soda Jerks.

Now, she had no doubt that artistic expression and creativity ran in her family. Additionally, it was all around her during her entire upbringing. Her father had a lot of friendships with the band members as well as the male coworkers.

She started working with a band called "the crisp" when she was in her early teens. Throughout the early 1990s, she also achieved success in the local jazz scene in Adelaide. When she was cast in the role of the wedding singer on the well-known Australian soap opera "home and away," she got her big break.

Even though the show may appear a little corny, it has produced a number of huge celebrities, including isla Fisher, Sam Worthington, Heath Ledger, and Chris Hemsworth. She ultimately came to the conclusion that she would need to relocate to either England or America if she wanted to succeed as a musician.

She made the decision to move to London because her boyfriend and the love of her life lived there. Tragically, he was killed by a taxi a week before she left, it ran him over and she still.mourns his loss.

As a backup singer for Jamiroqua, Sia eventually made the move to London and received her first significant break, which led to her joining the renowned electronica group 0-7.

She was signed to the record company dance pool, a division of Sony, as she was now also succeeding as a solo artist. The smash tune "drink to get drunk" and "small man," which was remixed by UK artist Wookie and became a dance club hit, were both included on her subsequent album, "healing is difficult."

Although she remembers this pivotal moment in her career, she had to face the demands of fame at the time. She remembers a time when she was telling a friend that she had been diagnosed with cancer while they were sitting together. As soon as she said those words, a fan approached and requested a photo.

She had become different as a result of her fame; she avoided leaving the house for fear of being recognized. She started drinking a lot, and she needed the habit to have the confidence to perform on stage.

She was also experimenting with drug use and a variety of various drugs on top of all of this. She claims that she has never used meth or heroin, but has had everything else.

After a disagreement with her record company, she changed labels and released her ep "don't pull me down" in 2003.

Then, after sia had immigrated to the United States, she released her third album, the lp "color the small one", which she worked out with artists like Beck. A song called "breathe me" was also included, and it was chosen for the series' penultimate episode of the hbo program "six feet under."

At the time, Sia's life was in a state of disarray, so this was a pretty major break for her. They decided to continue without her because 0–7 had grown weary of waiting for her. Additionally, she was struggling with depression and her drug and alcohol usage had gotten out of control.

She struggled with depression, alcohol and drug addictions in 2010, and on top of all of that, she learned she had cancer. She even considered suicide at one point in that year. She informed her dog walker in a suicide note that she had committed suicide.

Then, thankfully, someone called and she had to change her mind. She had called her drug dealer and asked for two of absolutely everything except for heroin and meth.

She eventually came to the realization that what was making her a little crazy was the demands of fame. She will continue to keep her identity a secret and instead, started penning songs for other artists including Rihanna, Madonna, Beyonce, Florida, Britney Spears, and Christine Aguilera.

She created Rihanna's hit song "Diamonds", which shot to the top of the charts. After that, she resumed writing her own songs and released the album "1000 forms of fear." There were the songs "chandelier" and "elastic heart" on there. Suddenly, her large blonde wig was everywhere.

She received her grammy nominations and decided that she would use every trick in the book to conceal her identity.

Since then, Sia has usually worn a wig that obscures her face to protect her privacy. Her seventh studio album, This Is Acting, led to her first Billboard Hot 100 number one single, "Cheap Thrills". The same year, she began her Nostalgic for the Present Tour, which included dancing by Ziegler and others, and other performance art elements.
