Ariana Grande is the most listened-to female artist on both Spotify and Apple Music.

She was named one of the most influential people in the world in 2019 by Times Magazine. With the release of her album, Thank u next, she made history by becoming the first solo artist to hold three of the top spots on the Billboard 100 chart in America and the first artist to have every lead single from their first five albums ever reach the top 10.

Ariana's 2014 album 'My Everything' had appeared at number one on the Billboard charts. She made it big on Broadway and became a Nickelodeon kid star. Her singing abilities kinda forced Mariah Carey out of work, technically.

But before all these, the girl was raised upper middle class in Florida, and when she was a young child, she had a preoccupation with kissing every boy she saw on the playground.

Below, is a summary of Ariana's life and career before she became famous.

In Boca Raton, Florida, on June 26, 1993, Ariana Grande-Butera was born. Her mother Joan Grande is the CEO of a phone and alarm system company, and her father Edward Batera is a graphic artist. Her grandfather Frank, who tragically passed away in 2014, was very close to her as she was growing up.

Ariana already acknowledged her Italian heritage, being half Abruzzese and half Sicilian. Frankie Grande, an elder half-brother from her mother's previous marriage, is her only sibling. Despite the fact that he is 10 years older than Ariana, the two are close.

Ariana said that she loved kissing boys when she was in preschool and the first actual kiss she experienced was when she was 14 years old.

She took part in singing and was part of cheerleading during her time in school, though she found it difficult to make friends in the chorus.

Her parents divorced when she was eight years old, and about this time, more money was invested in Ariana's developing potential. She started taking part in additional regional Boca Raton shows, such as Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and The Wizard of Oz.

For such a young kid, she was developing a solid reputation. She attracted attention and was asked to perform the national anthem for the Florida Panthers.

By the age of 13, it was decided that it was time for her to launch a successful career. Her family and she traveled to Los Angeles to meet with managers. There, a young Ariana expressed her desire to record an r&b album.

At age 15, Ariana received a supporting part in The musical 13 as cheerleader Charlotte. The girl dropped out of high school because she was working on Broadway in New York City, but the risk paid off because she was recognized for her achievements.

When she wasn't performing at Broadway, she maintained her musical skills by honing them at neighborhood jazz clubs, one of which was known as Birdlands. That was all it took; two years later, she made an appearance in the musical Kooba Libre and had a minor part in the TV series The Batteries Down.

When Nickelodeon was looking for a character to be on their new series, she was a suitable fit because she had a robust resume. On the popular television program Victorious, Ariana was cast as a silly aspiring singer actress named Kat Valentine. Victorious didn't last long as it was stopped in 2012.

However, Ariana's character Cat would continue to appear in the Nickelodeon television series "Sam and Cat," which also starred Jeanette McCurdy from Icarly. This show was also cut short. Although they only made 35 episodes, Ariana was still fine when this project failed because she was busy creating her own songs.

Her debut album, Yours truly, which was produced by Babyface and contained all of the r&b that Ariana was into, was released around the same time. Since it premiered at number one, she had a head start. She could lick donuts for the rest of her life and didn't care what people thought because she would be wealthy.

A big social media following helped Ariana achieve popularity. Prior to the release of this album, she had polished her online personas on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
