Cardi B, a well-known rapper who Forbes named one of the most influential female rappers of all time, has since reached the top of the charts, broken records, and won honours.

She had been a part of a very public marriage and the birth of Kulture, her daughter and her son Wave.

She has performed on some of the most prominent television programs, breaking records for them while also serving as a spokesperson for the next generation of social media talent.

Not only has Cardi B given the world hit songs like "Bodak Yellow," "Finesse," and "MotorSport," but she has also inspired countless catchphrases and millions of memes.

She became America's sweetheart over night and a musician who won't be going anywhere anytime soon because of her openness and honesty, which she embraced as she rose to fame. Here is a brief account of her early years, before she rose to fame.

On October 11, 1992, in New York City, Cardi B was born as  Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar.

Her mother whose name is Clara Almanzar is of Trinidadian descent, while her father whose name is Carlos Almanzar is Dominican. Cardi's parents, a cab driver and a cashier, finally divorced when she was a young girl.

She gained the nickname "Bacardi" as a result of her sister's first name being Henessey.

Later, she would abbreviate it to Cardi B, with the significance of the B altering daily based on her mood. When she was eight years old, her family moved from the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan to the Boogie Down Bronx. At 11, she began attending 6th grade in the Bronx, where she first saw her peers' crude language and the reality of urban life.

Cardi reportedly recounted an incident in which she and her father were driving when a man suddenly appeared in front of them on the street. Cardi initially believed her father had run over a pedestrian and killed them. The man has been shot in the head, it turned out.

This is just a small sample of the kind of environment Cardi B experienced, which, in her own words, ultimately led to her engagement with the Bloods in her adolescence, as she had previously described in her song Red Barz.

Cardi attended Renaissance High School for Musical Theater and Technology in the Bronx, although she has acknowledged that she frequently skipped class to attend hood parties. When she did attend school, she was your typical class clown.

She also mentioned that, despite not attending class, she was interested in history and had done research on historical occurrences like the Holocaust and the World Wars.

As a young woman, Cardi had many low-paying jobs, including a brief job at an Amish market on the Lower East Side.

At the time, Cardi was sharing an apartment with a controlling and violent boyfriend, his mother a couple of pitbulls and she layed on a mattress covered with bedbugs.

And just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, his sister would steal the meager money she had, and he repeatedly threatened to dump Cardi on the street.

Her manager provided her some helpful advise after she was let go from the market where she worked because she was caught giving a customer a discount.

He was like, "You're very attractive, you got a nice physique," Cardi told Fader magazine.

He instructed me to visit the strip club New York Dolls across the street. I first started stripping at that point. Speaking about her own experiences, she has claimed that the choice saved her life and increased her weekly income from $250 to $300 on her very first shift.

However, when her mother learned about her daughter's new job, she had a strong response and was not happy.

Stripping resolved Cardi's financial problem, boosted her self-esteem, gave her excellent dance training, and even convinced her to return to school.

Before deciding to drop out, she enrolled at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and studied French and history classes.

She made a lot of money dancing and eventually made the decision to move on to clubs with higher pay where she would dance for wealthy white males.

Cardi started posting videos to Instagram and Vine in 2013.

Her honest demeanor and direct sense of humor rapidly won her admirers.

She started out with merely clubgoers and bar workers as followers, but eventually she started to attract fans from all around the world. Her first significant break would be a shoutout from Bobby Shmurda.

Her internet following quickly increased to hundreds of thousands after getting a makeover. Regardless of who was watching, Cardi B remained true to what had been working for her.

She transitioned from dancing in clubs to hosting club events as her Instagram followers increased.

She had always vowed to stop dancing by the time she turned 25, and at the age of 23, she finally got the big break that made it possible. On Love & Hip Hop: New York, Cardi B was given a little part but immediately grabbed the stage.

She grew up listening to a variety of Caribbean reggae and dance hall performers, as well as female rap legends Missy Elliot and Lauren Hill. She also liked Madonna and Lady Gaga's pop songs.

Cardi risked heavily on her own aspirations to become a rapper after garnering notoriety on television and social media and committed all of her savings to making it happen.

Her first mixtape, "Gangsta Bitch," Vol. 1 was released in March 2016. Vol. 2 followed in 2017.

She was instantly linked to musicians like Foxy Brown and Lil' Kim.

From this point on, Cardi B's online buzz grew exponentially, and fans grew impatient for a full-length album. As excitement grew, the social media star was invited to appear on some of America's most well-liked television programs.

After signing with Atlantic Records, Cardi B released the global rap song Bodak Yellow on June 16, 2017. The track's success was significant in history.

Cardi became the first female hip-hop artist to have a number one song without a feature since Lauren Hill's "Doo Wop" from back in 1998. thanks to the video, which has received over 700 million views on YouTube.

Additionally, this song was a finalist for two Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. She deserves it because she nearly got eaten by a tiger while filming the video in Dubai.

She had a triple hitter in the fall of 2017 with appearances alongside potential competitor Nicki Minaj on the Bruno Mars' Finesse remix, G-No Eazy's Limit, and Migo's MotorSport.

She was also beginning a committed relationship with the rapper Offset around this time.

Cardi always intended to be married early and start a family, and her relationship with Offset swiftly became serious.

After seven months of dating, the man proposed to his girlfriend in front of a large stadium outside of Philadelphia.

However, there would be a few more surprises in store for us. It would soon come to light that the two had already wed a month earlier, and a marriage certificate was made public via TMZ.

After weeks of persistent rumors, Cardi B's baby bulge was finally seen as the camera panned out during her appearance on a Saturday Night Live.

This served as her official pregnancy announcement to the world.

Cardi's eagerly anticipated first album "Invasion of Privacy" was released by Atlantic Records in the summer of 2018.

The album ended up being one of the most popular of the year because of songs like "I Like It" and "Ring," the former of which has over 674 Million views on YouTube.

With almost 100 million streams, she broke the previous record for the most streaming by a female artist in a single week.

Cardi gave birth to her first kid, a daughter named Kulture, in July of that summer.

However, not everything went well; Cardi soon became embroiled in scandal.

Offset was taken into custody during an Atlanta traffic check two weeks after Kulture was born after being discovered in possession of marijuana, $107,000 in cash, and three unregistered guns. Soon after, he was released on bond.

Regardless of the controversy, Cardi B has cemented her position as one of the biggest entertainers in the world. Despite the cards she was given, she managed to overcome them all and take advantage of every social media opportunity.

I honestly don't know if a comeback story like this will ever happen again, but I think we can all agree that she is a special talent who deserves all of her success.
